FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Makes a Wild Game Feast Effective?

The feast presents a great outreach opportunity for your church to reach the community. It also builds relationships with businesses that are willing to donate door prizes.

Normally, a minimum of 50% of those attending are non-Christians.

Churches can make this as big of an event as they desire through their displays, door prizes, seminars, etc.

How Much Time Does it Take to Prepare?

Ideally it takes 4-6 months of preparation, but it can be done in much less time if you have some volunteer that can move the project along.  Again, Tom is willing to help with ideas from other successful Wild Game Dinners.

How Do We Prepare?

The first step is to secure a Saturday afternoon or Saturday evening on Tom Garrison’s schedule. Then Tom will send a complete preparation manual that clearly lays out how to prepare step by step.

When is the Best Time to Have a Wild Game Feast?

Wild Game Feasts are most effective in January through August.  It is important to have it on a weekend when the church’s calendar is free the weekend before, the weekend of, and the weekend after. This allows the event to receive solid attention.  A Wild Game Feast should not be crowded between other activities.

THE FINGERPRINTS OF GOD

Zulu legend says the spiral-horned animals argued about who was the most beautiful. They couldn't decide, so they asked God for help. God obliged, and after admiring them all, He stood in front of the Nyala.

He took the Nyala's face in His hands and said, "You are the most beautiful." The place just below the Nyala's eyes are where God's thumbs rested, and the white dots on the cheek are where His fingertips touched.

The Nyala is the most beautiful creature, proven by the "Fingerprints of God".
